Conclusions of the Chihuahua Agribusiness Internationalization Program

The recent trip to Chihuahua has been a turning point in the state’s internationalization program, closing a cycle that represents the coordinated effort of various institutions and key actors. This program, led by the Ministry of Rural Development and the Ministry of Economic Development through Coparmex, has allowed local companies to explore and consolidate their presence in international markets.
During this visit, strategic meetings and tours were held with companies representing key sectors in the region. The protagonists included Carmil, El Molcajete, Tisora, Agua Nueva, Pico Largo, Yam Yam, Agrocosa, Sabores de México, Alaqua and an outstanding group of wineries made up of Tres Ríos, Amelia, Casa Chávez and Vinícola Santa Clara. Each of these companies stood out for its strategic vision and commitment to internationalization.

  1. Carmil: Leader in the production and marketing of seasonings, both for final consumption and for the industry. Carmil shared significant advances in product adaptation and international certifications, consolidating itself as a benchmark in markets where innovation and quality are priorities.
  2. El Molcajete: A specialist in traditional products with a modern approach, El Molcajete stood out for its ability to merge tradition and cultural competitiveness. Its packaging and marketing strategy has been adapted to respond to the demands of the European and North American markets.
  3. Tisora: Renowned for its production of healthy walnut oil, Tisora demonstrated its focus on sustainable innovation. During the meetings, its strategy to position this product as a premium option in international markets was underlined.
  4. Agua Nueva: A pecan nut marketer, Agua Nueva presented a strategy focused on logistics efficiency and compliance with strict international regulations, aiming to conquer the markets of the European Union and Latin America.
  5. Pico Largo: Dedicated to the dehydration of apples, Pico Largo stood out for its sustainable production model and ability to adapt to the needs of markets such as Asia and the United States, with an emphasis on quality.
  6. Yam Yam: Focused on organic foods, Yam Yam impressed with its offering of certified healthy products. Its strategy has been designed to meet the demands of the European consumer.
  7. Agrocosa: One of the most innovative companies in the agribusiness sector, Agrocosa shared its progress in processes and development of products that meet the specifications of global markets, always prioritizing sustainability.
  8. Flavors of Mexico: Known for the production of seasonings, Flavors of Mexico stood out for its ability to satisfy both the domestic and hospitality sectors. Innovation and quality are the pillars of its success in international markets.
  9. Alaqua: Producer and marketer of sotol, Alaqua surprised with its ability to combine tradition and innovation. Its strategy focuses on positioning sotol as a premium product in international markets, reinforcing its cultural value.
  10. Group of wine wineries: The Tres Ríos, Amelia, Casa Chávez and Vinícola Santa Clara wineries presented a collective offer that highlights the quality and authenticity of Chihuahuan wine. This collaborative effort seeks to position the region as a wine benchmark.

This program has proven to be an essential tool to project Chihuahuan companies on the global stage. The visits and meetings made it possible to adjust strategies, detect areas for improvement and consolidate collaboration between the public and private sectors.
